The need for enhanced forms capabilities for J.D. Edwards OneWorld

According to Stuart Price, Projects Analyst at Interbrew UK LTD, "JDE OneWorld produces all the documentation we need but in basic PDF format, which is very inflexible and not really suitable for external use.

"We needed to be able to design more attractive forms, such as Purchase Orders; so we bought Create!form for JDE OneWorld, which we are now using to produce all our Purchase Orders, complete with the company name and terms and conditions and the data neatly in the right boxes."

Interbrew UK LTD is also using Create!form to print checks and remittance advices, doing away with the need for pre-printed forms and enabling printing on any laser printer. The system is currently being rolled out at all 15 locations in the Interbrew UK LTD group.

Document delivery for the 21st century

In addition to Create!form, Interbrew is using Create!fax, combined with RightFax, to automatically fax purchase orders generated in Create!form directly to suppliers. This saves Interbrew from having to print out purchase orders and manually fax them and cuts down on paper usage.

The cost and time savings generated from using Create!fax has prompted Interbrew to implement Create!email as well. "We shall also soon start e-mailing purchase orders as PDF's using Create!email, making us even less paper dependent. However, we have the capability to produce a duplicate document whenever we need one," says Price.

One day's installation and training was all that was needed to be up and running

Interbrew UK is also using Create!form to produce internal reports. Create!form's design tool allows them to hide sections when required using different fields for different departments.

"Create!form has proved very stable in use, with no compatibility problems and it is easy for Interbrew staff to use. One day's installation and training was all we needed to be up and running and we are now designing our own forms," says Price.
